​Inventory Record Accuracy: Over 80 leaders, responsible for the inventory counting strategy, from 75 retail businesses from across Europe, USA and Australia participated in a lively and informative working group discussion. The meeting started with updates from Waitrose, Coles, Sainsburys and Tesco, who shared their innovation priorities, and the new ways they are thinking about the different ways counting can add value, the ways to go about counting using internal Vs third parties, the frequency of counts, more Vs less, less Vs more, the value of doing a full store Vs whole department counts, the use of RFID to replace physical audits, new technologies to improve the efficiency of the process, and more.
